Welcome to Guardian Athletics at St. John Paul II Catholic High School!

At St. John Paul II, we believe athletics are an extension of our mission to form young men and women for the development of our students spiritually, morally, intellectually, and physically. During the 2026-2027 school year, Guardian student-athletes will compete in 19 varsity sports while representing our school, community, and Catholic faith with pride.

We are a proud member of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS), competing against some of the finest private school programs in the state. As our school continues to grow, we are excited to begin a new chapter as a TAPPS 5A program for the 2026-2028 alignment cycle. This move reflects the continued growth of St. John Paul II and provides our student-athletes the opportunity to compete at an even higher level.

Athletics are an important part of the educational experience at St. John Paul II. Through competition, our student-athletes learn discipline, accountability, perseverance, leadership, teamwork, and resilience. While we certainly strive for success on the field, court, track, course, and in the pool, our primary goal is helping young men and women grow in their faith, character, and relationships with others. These experiences help prepare them for success in college, careers, and life.

Guardian Athletics has experienced tremendous growth and success in recent years, and we remain committed to providing an exceptional experience for every student-athlete. We are blessed with outstanding coaches, dedicated staff, supportive families, and talented young men and women. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to providing a positive and meaningful experience for every student-athlete who wears the blue and gold.
