St. Joseph's Chapel
, area German settlers, after having great success with an area school staffed by Sisters of Divine Providence, created their own Catholic school, to serve the children of this area, and built that school just a quarter mile from where our school now stands. For almost fifty years, St. Joseph's School made a Catholic education possible for the families of Comal, Texas. In 1904, the Settlers pulled monies together to build the chapel to allow the students to have weekly Mass (Wednesday mornings, in fact), and to provide the community a sacred space for other Masses, funerals, weddings, and baptisms. Dedicated in 1905, St. Joseph's Chapel has had a special place in this community, and has a special place for the community of JPII.
